MEDITECH Magic Programmer, Application Specialist
Position Description
We are looking for a MEDITECH Magic Programmer to fill the role of an Interface Programmer. The Interface Programmer creates custom HL7 interfaces, originating from MEDITECH, which point to other vendors or hospital systems. The Interface Programmer works with customers, vendors and project management in order to create, install, edit and troubleshoot custom HL7 interfaces. Takes ownership of assigned interfaces and is responsible for coding HL7 interfaces from initial coding to customer acceptance and also helps maintain the interfaces.
Requirements
Primary responsibilities will include
1. Create, implement, test and support interface solutions at client sites according to specifications.
2. Install interface code at client site according to specifications.
3. Work effectively with project management.
4. Prioritize customer issues properly and communicate updates as appropriate. Use good judgment to determine problems that may need escalation
5. Manage multiple issues in a fast-paced environment.
6. Assist with on call rotation
7. Other duties may be assigned as necessary
Experience and Skills
Required experience for this job includes:
1. Experience programming in MEDITECH Magic and/ or Client Server code.
2. Experience with escalating issues.
Desired experience for this job includes:
1. 2 or more years MEDITECH Hospital IT experience.
2. Experience supporting MEDITECH servers and applications.
Required skills include:
1. Good understanding of MEDITECH data structures.
2. Good understanding of NPR, $T and Client Server code.
3. Good knowledge of HL7 protocol.
Desired but not required skills include:
1. Hospital information systems knowledge.

Healthcare Interface Developer

NPR Report Writer
Position Description
We are looking for an NPR Report Writer to work with customers, vendors and project management in order to create, install, and troubleshoot NPR reports. The NPR Report Writer takes ownership of assigned NPR reports and is responsible from initial coding to customer acceptance and also helps support the NPR reports.
Requirements
Primary responsibilities will include
1. Write and test NPR reports.
2. Work effectively with project management.
3. Communicate directly with customers to determine specifications via email, telephone, etc.
4. Prioritize customer issues properly and communicate updates as appropriate. Use good judgment to determine problems that may need escalation.

Experience and Skills

6 months of NPR report writing experience

Support Specialist
Position Description
We are looking for a Support Specialist to provide superior technical support and assistance to customers with Interface People’s applications and interface software solutions. The Support Specialist provides technical support of software applications and solutions. Takes ownership of assigned issues as single point of contact for customer and is responsible for issues from assignment through to resolution.
Requirements
Primary responsibilities will include:
1. Act as single point of contact for customer technical support issues.
2. Research and resolve all technical support issues received from customers.
3. Prioritize customer issues properly and communicate updates to customers as appropriate. Use good judgment to determine problems that may need escalation.
4. Provide detailed documentation of activities, correspondence and resolution through trouble ticket systems.
5. Manage multiple issues in a fast-paced environment.
6. Identify sales opportunities and communicate them appropriately.
7. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Education:
Required - Associates degree in the field of Information Technology or in a related field or 2-4 years of related work experience.
Preferred – 3 or more years experience in the information technology field.
