    Tallman Letters

Does anyone know how to get a thermal printer to utilize Tallman letters as recommended by the ISMP?  The label works fine on a laser printer, yet when I've copied it over and added the THERMAL footnote, I lose the tallman letters.  It should look like this:  LORazepam.

    Thanks.

    Re: Tallman Letters

Here is a posting I found out on the L posted by Terry Lehman

However on Datamax thermal labels this has always been a problem as any increase in size automatically switched the 'tallMANN' to 'TALLMAN'.
Also I found the Datamax printers only responded to SIZE increases of 0.5 and did not respond to FONT=b

To my surprise this has changed. I am working with a new C/S 5.55 and new Datamax M Class Mark II printers
They now respond to FONT=B and to SIZE increases of 0.1 increments.
PLUS they now print any size/font in 'tallMAN'.

I don't know what changed at Datamax as Meditech has always told me this problem was beyond their control, but I wanted others who are planning to purchase printers to be aware of this.
